What is the Puribag?
The Puribag is a 10-liter (2.5 gallon) family-sized water purification bag with an internal biodegradable filter.
The Puribag provides a means to capture, treat and store safe drinking water. By removing the particulate matter through the treatment process, the Puribag can store water for up to 3 days.
The Puribag works specifically with the P&G™ Purifier of Water packets.
How does Puribag treat water
The Puribag incorporates a multi-treatment process including the P&G™ Purifier of Water packets (flocculation / disinfection packets) and an in-bag filter. Using the P&G™ Purifier of Water packets, water can be captured and treated, and following a 30-minute process time, contaminants can be removed and clean, safe water remains.
How long does the Puribag take to Purify water?
Total treatment time is 30 minutes.
How much water can I treat using Puribag? Can it be re-used?
The Puribag treats 10-liters (2.5 gallons) of water with each use. Each Puribag comes with 12x P&G™ Purifier of Water packets (a total of 120 liters), as this is the useful life of the internal filter. Each filter is biodegradable and life expansion packs consisting of additional filter cartridges and 12 sachets can be purchased separately.
The Puribag is reusable.
What does the Puribag remove from the water?
The Puribag in combination with the P&G™ packet treatment are robust in removing turbidity, cysts (>3 logs), viruses (>4 logs), bacteria (>6 logs) and arsenic from contaminated water sources such as creeks, rivers, lakes, and ponds. The P&G™ packet treatment meets the US Environmental Protection Agency and World Health Organization emergency drinking water guidelines.
Does the Puribag have any certifications?
Puribag has been awarded a Comprehensive Protection rating from the World Health Organisation.

What is the shelf life of the Puribag?
The Puribag can be stored at room temperature for 3 years from date of manufacture. P&G™ Purifier of Water Packets can be stored for 3 years from date of manufacture.
Can the Puribag remove salt?
No. The Puribag is not a desalination system. Use the Puribag to treat water from freshwater sources only.
What is the P&G™ Purifier of Water product?
P&G™ Purifier of Water product is a powdered water clarification and disinfectant that comes in small, 4-gram packets. The P&G™ Purifier of Water is engineered to be a mini-water treatment plant in a packet.
What is the P&G™ Purifier of Water remove?
The product removes dirt, cysts, and pollutants, and kills bacteria and viruses in contaminated water. By removing the dirt and sediment through a flocculation/ sedimentation process, P&G™ Purifier of Water gives a visible signal that water is clean and ready to drink.

What is in the packet?
Each P&G™ packet contains iron sulfate, calcium hypochlorite, a buffer to maintain pH and a polymer to promote coagulation.

Each P&G™ Purifier of Water packet is stable for 3 years from date of manufacture.
